“Sculpted Envelopes: The Architecture of Uno Prii” showed 63 drawings, photographs and paintings by Toronto-based, Estonian-born architect Uno Prii (1924-2000). The Exhibition ran from October 6th to 30th, 2009 at the Larry Wayne Richards Project Gallery, part of the John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, at the University of Toronto.
The work featured in the Exhibition included architectural designs for apartment buildings, shopping malls and office towers primarily from the 1960s. The futuristic vision of Prii’s work belies the fact that he was a remarkably proficient practitioner with some 250 extant buildings in Southern Ontario.
